Crest Whitestrips worked really well for me
The downside is they dont stay white and they made my teeth extremely sensitive.

None of the home ones work as well as ones from the drugstore, but Crest White Strips will work if your teeth are really yellow and you just want a few shades whiter. You really have to use several boxes back to back to get much whitening. Plus, the whitening effect doesn't last anywhere NEAR as long as carbomide peroxide gels do. Plus, several boxes of Crest White Strips back to back and you could almost pay to have custom trays made at the dentist. Call your dentist and let them know you want to be notified of any specails or sales they have on the custom trays and gel. Here, it can often be done for $200-$259. I went to the dentist years ago and had the custom trays made and used the gel he gave me. After quite awhile, I needed a touch up. What ihave found to be true and have researched is that it really has to have carbomide peroxide in it to REALLY whiten. What the dentist gave me was a 15" strength of it. I now by the 35% strength on eBay and use with my custom trays. I did see that they now have it on eBay with trays you heat and form yourself. They don't work as well as the dentist trays, but the gel works even better. The trays you heat and form yourself are not as comfortable as ones the dentist makes, nor do they fit as well, thus they don't keep the gel in even contact with your teeth as well. Instead of having to sleep in it overnight, as I did with the dentist's strength, the 35% only has to be worn 5 minutes. It's called Million Dollar Smile on eBay. It's VERY inexpensive, and as I said, works even better than the strength the dentist "gave" (charged an arm and a leg for!) me.
