Yeah, I have braces right now but I have a common tooth diseae. It is when the tops of your teeth (the points) become whiter than the rest. So it makes the bottom of your teeth look yellowish. Kind of annoying…
I know that. I wanted to know what to do once my braces are off.
Smileman…is a moron. I know that they are not that. Or else I obviously would be brushing more. I brush 3x times a day and floss. They said I am a perfect brusher. I have, I think fluoriditis, so dont tell me to brush!

Won't the cap stay discolored while the other teeth turn white? Is there any product that can change the color of a cap?

Caps do not whiten. Bleaching the rest of your teeth is fine, but if you let the Dentist polish the cap, then the top coting comes off, and it makes it dull. I suggest that you talk with your Dentist and see if he can replace it at a reasonable price. And before having it replaced have your teeth whitened. And by the way, Crest Whitening Strips do work. By the way, teeth colors determined by Dentist are A being the whitest, B, C, etc. So if you do have your teeth whitened always pick the lighter of the colors for your cap since you can always bleach your teeth to match.
